Our journey began with a profound tragedy that sparked a powerful vision for change. Initiated by Dr. Makombo, AULDA emerged from the depths of personal loss and a steadfast commitment to transform adversity into hope.
Our Origin Story:
In the trauma unit of a South African hospital, Dr. Makombo confronted the devastating aftermath of a carjacking. Two young lives, victims of senseless violence, were brought to him for urgent care. Despite his efforts, their lives were tragically cut short. This poignant moment served as a catalyst for Dr. Makombo's determination to create a better future.
Turning Tragedy into Action:
Dr. Makombo was deeply moved by the untapped potential of these lost lives. He recognized the urgent need to address the root causes of violence and inequality, particularly among vulnerable youth. With a resolute spirit, he embarked on a mission to empower communities and promote sustainable development.
