Share Your Christmas with an Orphan
n December 2014, AULDA brought the spirit of the holidays to life with a special outreach event titled “Share Your Christmas with an Orphan” at Othandweni Orphanage in Soweto. The goal was simple yet powerful: to share compassion, joy, and love with vulnerable children during a season often marked by loneliness for those without families.
The event touched the lives of over 50 children at the orphanage, creating joyful memories, emotional support, and a deep sense of community. It reflected AULDA’s ongoing mission: “No Young Person Left Behind.”
Joslovo HIV Awareness Campaign & Food Drive
The campaign reached more than 150 people with life-saving information and filled bellies with love and dignity. The event showcased the power of grassroots action — bringing health, hope, and nourishment to the heart of the community.

Women’s Day Empowerment Celebration
This Women’s Day event was created to empower young women from disadvantaged areas in Yeoville by promoting independence, creativity, and self-worth. The aim was to celebrate the strength of women while opening doors for opportunity, visibility, and community support.
The event brought together more than 70 women and community members to share in joy, recognition, and sisterhood. It reaffirmed AULDA’s belief that when women rise, communities thrive — and that every woman, regardless of background, deserves to be celebrated and empowered.
Hillbrow Recreational Activities for Children
The event brought together over 80 children from Hillbrow for a day of positive engagement, laughter, and learning. It was a preventative action against drugs, crime, and early delinquency, reinforcing AULDA’s commitment to ensuring that no young person is left behind.
