Women's Day Empowerment Celebration

Event Purpose This Women’s Day event was created to empower young women from disadvantaged areas in Yeoville by promoting independence, creativity, and self-worth. The aim was to celebrate the strength of women while opening doors for opportunity, visibility, and community support. Event Highlights Live Concert by Erudit Boyoko The celebration featured a powerful live performance by Erudit Boyoko, a dedicated AULDA volunteer, talented musician, and the organization’s official graphic designer. His music set the tone for empowerment and unity, delivering uplifting messages through art and rhythm. Clothing Showcase & Women’s Empowerment Awards A stunning fashion show was held, where local women modeled outfits with grace and pride. A panel of judges appreciated each woman’s confidence and story, and empowerment prizes were awarded to celebrate resilience, leadership, and style. Food & Drinks for All Guests Attendees were treated to a festive atmosphere with delicious food and drinks provided by Kin Malebo Restaurant, creating a space of celebration and connection.
Impact The event brought together more than 70 women and community members to share in joy, recognition, and sisterhood. It reaffirmed AULDA’s belief that when women rise, communities thrive — and that every woman, regardless of background, deserves to be celebrated and empowered.
